little known fact

Hey. Have you ever found yourself around town, during the day, and thinking, where are all the crazy people at? I'll tell you where. The library. Really.

My shoulder/arm area hurts like a sonofabitch, for no reasons I can discern except maybe I slept on it wrong. I do a lot of sleeping. This seems very likely. More likely then actually having hurt it doing something. My muscles are weak and I am lazy. I lead a sedentary lifestyle.

Ooh! The other day..or this morning..or something...mom goes, yeah we and Londa (mom's friend) should go to Spokane and shop and stuff. I was all FREAKING SWEET because I am getting paid this week (or I should be, should be in the mailbox tomorrow) and then I was like, yeah on Saturday we should do this and Mom's like no not saturday. Turns out Saturday is the 4th of July. Independence Day. I had completely forgotten this, in fact this had not even registered with me: the increasing patriotism, the fireworks stands, and fireworks themselves all managed to escape me until Monday, when I realized that in 5 days I would have to hang around and pretend I liked things blowing the fuck up around me. Somehow I have become a jumpy person and so random BOOMs really freak me out. Like I'm some sort of small furry dog. If Blake knows this about me he will spend a large amount of his time trying to blow me up. I like the quiet fireworks- smoke bombs and sparklers. And even with sparklers, you're still holding a giant fucking stick of fire that is slowly getting closer and closer to your hand. Where is the motherfucking fun in that...So we couldn't go on Saturday. I said I'd try to get Friday off but that is unlikely, my boss is gone till Thursday and it would be weird asking for the day off right before the day. Then today, Heather and I were killing time at the Summer Reading table, I was reading Wired magazine and she was drawing or some shit. And one of the librarians comes up to us and says, you guys have Friday off. FUCK AND YES. I didn't say that out loud. Anyway. Turns out, the people who pay me and Heather (not the library), their offices are closed on Friday due to to Independence Day and since they're not working we can't work. OH YES.

Crocheting a sock and reading Alas, Babylon because it was literally the first book I picked up my floor and thought, hnn looks good.
