I know, right. Is weird.
BUT my father DID buy me boots from the Army Navy Surplus store. They are combat boots. Or, ah, Rothco Jungle Boots and they were the cheapest boots there but STIIILL. I has boots. They are badass. I love them. They need good insoles.
School in two days. ;( SAD FACE AJ.
I got my yarn for DW scarf in the mail, did I mention this? It is gorgeous. Unfortunetly, it is all in hanks and I have no ball-winder so I will have to do it all by hand. It's like 8 skeins. Grr. And my needles from Knitpicks haven't come yet. But my belts and Bowie button did. Haven't tried belts on yet (cos they're at mom's). Little Bowie button is adorab. Ooh it's little David Bowie, I said when I got it. Look at little Bowie. Belts are thinner then I expected. Hmm, thinner, I mean in width, not in like fabric-wise. If they fit well I'll order more from the site, they're quite neat. Skinnier, is what I mean.
Gah, and I ordered that 80gb iPod from the other night. Say I tell someone. 'Oh btw Mom i ordered an iPod.' 'oh really?' 'yeah it's 80gb.' 'WHAT EIGHTY?' 'yeah but see here it's actually a bit cheaper then the 8gb nano I was eyeing, seee?' 'oh alright.' So I've got that in the mail and, ah, shirt from unetee and teextile and shirt.woot. Too many shirts? NO SUCH A THING. BLASPHEMY. If Shirt.woot has randoms anytime soon I will be buying 3. Or if Teefury, too. I have not enough Teefury shirts.
What the hell Hulu. I am loading an epi of Buffy and one of Psych and they're not LOADING.
So I am going to knit socks, y'know, got a book and everything. I need uhm. Needles. For socks. Yeahh. I have yarn. Got to get needles. I'll be doing the easiest thing imaginable- Doctor Who scarf, aka garter stitch and color changing, to the hardest (or I think it is, my skill level-wise) - SOCKS.
I am bored and it seems like it should be later in the evening, prolly cos of sleeping schedule is off but I give no damns at all. hnn.
Mhm, something a bit weird happened to me today. So I wandered into St. Vinnie's, which is nextdoor to the Goodwill (across the river, anyway) and I went in to look for pants for Blake (for job interview) but I ended up buying Spider-Man shoelaces (which is a weird thing, really, because my freshman year of high school I wore Cons with Spider-Man shoelaces). Anyway. They said '80 cents' on it but they guy (cute cashier boy) only charged me 68 cents. And, he complimented my shirt. Huh. I'm checking the reciept and it says '20 % discount'. There might have been some sort of sale..

Argh, working is tough sometimes oh hell who am I kidding, my work is easy. Honestly. Yesterday, I watched Kung-Fu Panda. And like got paid for it and it was a cute movie. Today I uh. Did not do much I tell ya.
Today me and mom were in Bi-Mart and I was deciding on beef jerky (Pepperoni vs. Teriyaki if Pepperoni is on sale and Teriyaki even if Teriyaki is better? Teriyaki. Man once you type Teriyaki enough it looks weird. Like, am I spelling that right?) and then I found here in the greeting card aisle. There are few things that annoy me more then greeting cards. Seriously. They're shit. So I went on a loud, long-winded rant about how they make me despair for the future of humanity in the store.
I am crocheting socks, again, what up, to go along with the Ravelry Teens Knit and Crochet Group Summer Sock KAL/CAL. Damn. Long title. Anyway, it's a bit tricky but prolly a lot less trickier then actually knitting socks.
AND AND AND in Doctor Who Obsession News, I've finished my Doctor doll and he's adorable. Well. Finished. His jacket isn't done yet because I stopped to knit my dad's father's day gift (a remote control caddy, he loved it) and now I'm doing socks so it'll be a while still. Goshdarn cute. ANDANDAND I've figured out what yarn I need/want for my Doctor Who Scarf. Cascade 220 in the colors that TARDIS-Tara recommends off on Ravelry. She's wonderful. And it won't cost me so much, I think, only about 50 bucks (because I also want a good pair of needles, circs from KnitPicks, those harmony wood ones)
I'm like bored because my paycheck hasn't come in yet. Grr.
There's nothing on TV in summer. Well, Thursdays has Burn Notice and Royal Pains and Burn Notice is fucking spectacular and Royal Pains is adequate. Tonight, I think, is ah America's Got Talent, which I used to watch but now I get tired just watching the commercials, and Fox has Mental. I watched that last week. It was uneven, picked up storylines then dropped them just as quickly, didn't fully flesh out what was really wrong with that kid, and then gave everything a neat and wrapped ending without really explaining it. But I didn't hate it. The lead guy is British and funny and cute. And I am a teenage girl. So there you are. ABC is a wasteland of bad shows and bad reality shows and bad game shows and bad celebrity shows in the summer. It's that the rest of the time, too. 'cept for Lost and Scrubs.
I'm gonna go crochet socks and eat beef jerky. A fine evening.

good moments; bad ideas
Today, Dad took us places and one of those places was Jack in the Box, for lunch. Blake had been all 'yurface' all day long and being a difficult little brother. (by a year, he's younger than me by a year) Dad mentioned something about how he'd need Blake to help him move stuff. Blake: "Yeah, 'cuz I'm stronger then you, Alyssa..." Me: "Yes Blake I will admit it has been scientifically proven that men have more muscle strength then women." Blake: "Haha that's right we do." Me: "However it is also a scientific fact that girls mature faster then boys." Blake: "...you're a stinkyhead." He's funny sometimes, isn't he.
That sweater I was making? Not turning out too well. Can't get the stupid V stitches right. So for now, it's frogged. The socks, too, are frogged, because...it looks terrible, the one sock I've almost made. Frogged! So with the cloud yarn for the sweater I will retry socks and with the purple yarn for the socks I'll now try a shawl/stole, because the Winter Ball is coming up and, if I find a dress (this is the tricky bit, the dress thing, because there are no dresses that fit me, grrr) then I'll go so I'll make a shawl/stole to go with it. Barhh. I like the Cold Shoulder stole from Happy Hooker but the shawl looks cute, too, so hrrr.
Oh, I've got some homework to do.
And my heart is beating more and more erraticly and I'm starting to get worried. 3 weeks, it's been going on.
Cold, shaking, going to bed now.
