When/if I get a new ukulele (concert, i wanna concert uke) I wanna get a Sharpie and cover my cheapo soprano uke with Beatles lyrics quotes. my god I'm a Beatles dork. is this one of those things you should try and keep rather secret if it's, yknow, too fanatic? I mean, I've got like 5 Ringo albums. that is a little lame. BUT I LURVE RINGO. (see below.) and I dun wanna start beatleranting (I do but haven't the time)..so yahh

uh
tonight was the school music concert- i'm in choir so i had to sing. it's a little depressing because do you know what? anything you do someone is always better then you. Sigh. i make myself feel better by thinking things like, well that person is hella good at music but uhh I have a personality? and hilariousness and fuck you, i can crochet things... anyway those things always get me down, i hate it when people are better at something than me. ugh. but that's everyone at everything really so I better get over it.
i'm knitting & crocheting things for relatives now, and I forgot how much i LOVE crocheting. jesus. so fun and gorgeus..
I want to crochet BEATLES.
/needs skin-colored acrylic yarn...

so yah
today I wore my beatle boots and my Bob Marley shirt I got random from teefury. In German, Mrs H was like, 'oohh i like your boots, those are fun'. Fun? Oh well. Compliments are compliments. Anyway. And actually. They are fun. She is total awesome though because for some reason she really likes me and here are my theories on that a) i was already in 2 years of French b) i am also a huge beatles fan c) i am awesome. I think it's some combo of 1 and 2. Or er. A and b. And so. Uh...what..was I saying? well yeah so she never really calls on me, seriously, it's very cool. But today we were learning hobbies and things and one of them was like 'listening to rock music' and I was like, gah call on me for that one. She did. And then asked me if I liked 'alt rockmusik?' and because I like totally blanked for a minute I was like, what? then, OH, yes, old music, YES. The student teacher who laughed at my dinosaur was back today. he was sick for a while I guess. I like him.
Listening to David Bowie. He's so funky. I love him. Oh! Starman! There's a starrrmaaan...
Nothing else exciting so like why do I even bother.
I was on time to school today. WTF, right? And worked throughout all first hour. and went to all my classes, holyshit.
OH my knitting and crochte club is tonight! Great Yarns. Should be pretty friggin exciting. I dunno, I just LOVE to get together with people who understand me when I talk of worsted weight and purling and straights and circs and GAUGE and all that. Me and another woman there, (my boss from the summer) always get into glaring arguments over what we call crochet hooks- I call them by the numbers and she uses the letters. Like I'll call it an size 6 hook and she'll be all, IT'S A G. I'm gonna teach H to knit a hat, too. I was like, GET WOOL YARN. It's warmer that way. I love wool. When it's cold. Can't stand it in the heat. but around now I am like, ohh so sofft and warm. Thank you, sheep. You guys are awesome. Dumb as rocks. But very cool...I haven't met a lot of sheep myself. I have a friend who's got sheep. And she's like: they're stoopid. Me: YR STUPID.
later, 5:30: I was listening to a Bob Dylan album. The Freewheeling bob Dylan. Amazing. Blake, at one point, from across the room, 'are..are you listening to Bob Dylan?' 'er, yes.' 'i..can hear the harmonica.' 'lol!' Now I'm listening to Ringo Starr. I can't help it. I friggin' love the guy. I Think Therefore I Rock and Roll? Goodnight Vienna? AWESOME.
Also, Keith Moon did an album and Ringo Starr was on a few tracks- HOW DID THEY NOT STAR THEIR OWN BAND CALLED liike 'Moon and Starr'? ohrite cos Keith died but STILL. WHYY. I want Ringo's christmas album. Crazy bad. I want all of his albums? he's so cheery and happy-looking all the time. I guess a lot of fans hate him for the 'don't send any more fan mail' thing which yes was a dick move but still. Ringo!

sometimes i wish i were a dinosaur
In my German class today, we had a numbers quiz, where Frau Hays says a number in German and we write it down in number form. Simple. She’ll only say the number twice.
So I got the first one and then distracted myself for a minute by drawing a dinosaur on the margins of my paper- and the next thing I knew we were on the third question. I was a little grumpy but, really, it was all my fault, my dinosaur needed spikes down his back and some teeth, so after I’d finished all the other questions, I wrote ‘I missed this one cos I was drawing this dinosaur. sorry.’ where the answer should’ve been.
And I thought we were going to be switching them with partners and correcting them but, ah, no, we turned them in.
So Herr Bates, the cute student teacher, was grading them- and at one point, he started laughing and looked over me. I guess he liked my dinosaur.

school, first day
Our classes were 17 minutes because we went from 12:35 to 2:40 cos of frosh orientation before that. So. My boots did eventually kill my feet (and I even have insoles for them!) but it's the second day I've worn them, I think they just need to be worn in. And I wore dark blue jeans and black and white belt and t-shirt: The Madness of Mission Six, the spooky Pacman one. I think some kid complimented me on it, but we were leaving class and I think he said my name and then 'nice shirt' but I couldn't really hear him. Oh well. Anyway. Quick reviews/thoughts about classes:
1st hour: Digitools/Micro Computer Applications with Mr. Kelly. We're doing computer stuff, typing, Word, and Powerpoints. Sounds easy but boring. Hoping to show up. Mr. Kelly seems alright but boring.
2nd hour: WA Gov./US Gov. with Mr. Cowdrey. He had a cool 'intro' thing on the screen, and at the end it said "42 IS THE ANSWER" and he asked if anyone knew what that meant. I was like, uh duh, and he was like, yess. Cool guy.
3rd hour: German 1 with Frau Hays. I took two years of French with Mrs Hays, she's very nice and a good teacher. Before class, she was like, so you decided to take a year of German as a senior? I was like, yeah and I missed you, so. My brother Blake is in this class, which is weird, but okay.
4th hour: Choir with Mr. Legg. Why did I join choir? Not sure. There are 50 people in that class. Grr. If I switch out of any classes, this'd be the one.
5th hour: Foods/Nutrition with Mrs. Romesburg. Bit of backstory here: in my freshmen year, I had Romesburg for Personal Choices, a very reduntant and pointless class. Also, it was first hour. So I was late most of the time and when I was there, I was snarky and mean and loud and joking. She doesn't like me. AND then in the Clarkston Courier, I wrote something about her (cos she ASKED (well I wrote things about other teachers, too)) and she verily got all pissed about it and so when I walked in today, she said, "ah I see we have a writer in our midst." and then something along the lines of 'how dare you', but whatever. It's only a semester class, I do love to cook, it's kind of fun to have a nemesis, and there's a girl with blue hair who was nice to me so that was pretty fun.
6th hour: Brit Lit with Mr Piper. I hear great things about Piper. He's pretty cool. Apparently, we are doing 3 essays in this class. omg. In the AP classes I've been in, we've done like, 2 or 3 a month. Madness. However, we are reading Dickens. DAMNIT.
And then I went into Frazier's class and me and Heather showed her the Very Potter Musical and she mocked us for knowing the lyrics. Ah well.
I am going to find something on TV, take my boots off, make myself a creamsicle drink and start knitting my DW scarf. (the needles came and holy shit, they are gorgeous.)

i do heart threadless
I got my three Threadless shirts, today. Madness of Mission Six, A Hug is my Favorite Adhesive, West Side Rumble. They are, as usual, GORGEOUS. They are a little tight but I had the same problem with my first two, and after they get washed they are perfect. ( I know this cos I am wearing THIS is how the world ends right now.) Anyway. Madness of Mission Six is so very awesome I think I will wear on the first day of school. Wednesday. Agh, school. Damn.

here i am again
I've not posted in a while becuase sometimes I get real lazy or have to do insane amounts of homework or I just take a lot of naps. Right now I do have to do insane amounts of homework but I am so very tired.
Today in my AP Lang class, people are giving presentations for their research paper and this one girl up there is telling us all about this place, Morgan's Alley, which is a few buildings that are really old and one of them used to be a brothel because prostitution was legal and I was kind of not paying attention and so I heard "where all the cowboys and miners came" and she like put emphasis on CAME accidentally I think and I just tried to hold back my laughter as well as I could, so I was like not breathing I was laughing so hard. I looked around and nobody else was laughing except another boy, Ric, who just looked at me and was all, 'you and me, we got that' and after the presentation, my friends were like 'what were you guys laughing at?' and we explained and they were all 'ew' but me and Ric were all, we're on the same wavelength. It was pretty hilarious.
Uh what else. I have to write a summary and response thing for Great Expectations for tomorrow. Haven't even started. I did start work today, tho. Tired. Sleepyy.
It's like naptime for me. I flipping love naptime. Uhh.

lately
About a week and a half ago my English teacher said the 22nd is the last day she'll accept latework. No problem says I who has many overdue papers, I shall just do one a day and have them all done by Friday. Voila. Well, I did not do that. And now it's thre 21st and and I've got 2 Prose Models essays, 1 on The Illustrated Man, 1 5 page Research Paper, and 1 Personal Statement which I kind of wrote, and this is not counting the Argumentative essay that was due on Tuesday. Goddamn. I just keep telling myself I can do this. Yeah, that'll work.
When I panic and get all procrastinatey like this, also, weird, Firefox is not going all procrastinatey is not a word but apparently latework is not a word. Well no, yes it is now. Oh Firefox. Anyway. When I panic, I cling to things and get obsessed very easily and sometimes it's food or a TV show or whatever but this time it's Doctor Who. And I'm utterly obsessed. And this is the kind of obsession you don't want because it's such a large fandom. You've got to watch the new series and the old series and then you need to watch everything else David Tennant's been in and Catherine Tate and so you watch Tate's comedy work and then it's back to DT and then you're watching the Friday Night Project with David Tennant and then with John Barrowman and then you've got to listen to John Barrowman's music and read his books and then you're watching other TV shows Russel T Davies has done, that's the guy that brought the show back in 2003, and when you find yourself trolling Youtube for the UK episodes of Queer as Folk at 11:00 at night you think something's wrong. Arghh. So maybe I'm a little obsessed.
I'm home for lunch right now, well techinically school lunch started 5 minutes ago but I leave my 4th hour aide class like 12 minutes early, nobody notices me. I'm having Cheezits, a water bottle, I'm gonna have some icecream, and I have a frozen coffee that I forgot about this morning melting so I can bring it to 5th hour with me.
Heather's not at school today, I think she's at home typing up all her essays she hasn't done. Heather is a clever girl. Damn. I really do have to write like 5 papers by tomorrow. Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit. Fuuck.

horrible and yet awesome at the same time
Because I'm an aide in my 4th hour class, this means two things: 1 I never do anything and spend most of my time trying to subvert the school's internet security systems and 2 I leave early. Like, 10 minutes before class is supposed to end, and right after 4th is lunch so this is fine. I just walk home for lunch. I'm eating lunch right now btw. Leftover Domino's pizza and chilled coffee mocha from this morning. Lunch of champions.
So I was on the school comps today, the same one I'm always on that I like quite a bit. I do a variety of things on the school computers. Solitaire. Shirt.woot. Yeah it lets me on shirt.woot. IMDB. One of my favorite things is to check what people Google. It's amusing. 'how to write cursif' and a bunch of wedding stuff. There's a lot of meat and pork related searches, too. Today I was bunking around on the school website, gobantams, and I went to the math section because it's a cool little design, like a calculator. What I figured out what some of the 'buttons' on the calculator lead to games. Pacman, Donkey Kong, Chess, Copter, Sniper, and I want to know who designed the website. My money's on Mr. Glenn, who is a badass math teacher and (he's my math teacher but I rarely show up for math and grades came in yesterday, under Math I have an F and teacher's comments are: It is a pleasure to have your student in class and Absences are affecting grade. So he likes me when I'm there I guess.) he's a clever dude, all smart and everything, or maybe a student designed it but either way, I've just found a new waste of time on the school comps. On another computer in the library, somebody has installed Mario Brothers Forever. The only problem with that is the shift key is jump and when you press shift more then 5 times, Sticky Keys pops up.
Hmm. Pizza then to theatre and aruging with folks.
