oof

Paul McCartney is pretty adorable guys. I mean like. Pretty much all the time UP TILL this year or so, haha, he's kind of old now? but I just bought at Goodwill, Tripping the Light Fantastic, one of Paul's (numerous i'm assuming) albums, I guess it's a sort of live show he did back in 1990-ish, and these are the 'highlights'. Anyway it seems to be Beatles songs, or his Beatles songs anyway, and nothing ex-Beatle Paul, but I was looking at the pictures on the booklet thing. Damn, he's fine. There's something about a guy with a guitar/bass that just gets me. Any guy, really. Beatles especially. and other rock 'n rollers- er, I'm not positive about Robert Plant-if he plays guitar or not- but he sure is pretty sexy. Or was. Aha.

Oh, my dad is full of surprises. I was packing & Blake was chatting with him and I come in and Blake's like, DAD KNOWS OCTOPUS'S GARDEN. and he did know the tune and some of the words. They must've been talking about Beatles Rock Band. And then Dad goes- does the game have Maxwell's Silver Hammer? and I'm like, ah no and Blake's like. WHAT. and yeah, Dad like grew UP on this stuff, so he knows it of course. And I'm slowly brainwashing Blake with the Beatles, ahah. I'll mention things to him- about Ringo or Paul or a song or a quote of theirs (when the press asked them about what they were doing writing 'daytripper' and 'norweigon wood' and saying it was supposedly about 'prostitutes and lesibians', paul says: 'we're just trying to write songs about prostitutes and lesbians.' and then they go- well what about 'eleanor rigby'? and john says: 'that's one's about a couple o' queers'.) and then I'll catch him humming 'yellow submarine' or stuff like that. And so he dropped him off for his camp thing- and I was across the parking lot- and I'm not sure why/how Blake was doing this, but I hear him go-'YEAH; he got the MOST FAN MAIL.' and the other kid was like rly? and blake was like' yeah out of ALL THE BEATLES RINGO got the MOST FAN MAIL.' DUDE WHICH I TOLD HIM. I read an interview thing where the press asked- Ringo why do you think you get the most fan mail? and Ringo says something like I suppose most of them write to me. Which reminds me of the line in 'A Hard Day's Night' where they're getting their fan mail- and Ringo has lots, and John says 'Must've cost you a fortune in stamps, Ringo.' Anyway. m'glad Blakery is liking The Beatles. I'm actually pretty sure EVERYONE HAS SOME CONNECTION/OPINION/ HAS AT LEAST HEARD OF/ TO/WITH the BEATLES. Srsly. Spanning many generations. Good job boys.

eta: omg I just realized this: I think Blake loves the Beatles almost as much as I do. Sadly Ringo is pretty much our favorite Beatle due mostly to Octopus's Garden and the fact he doesn't seem like much of a jerk and also he's still alive and DUDE, OCTOPUS'S GARDEN.
