I'm still pretty sick but I got medicine, some cold stuff and it's alright but I still feel awful.
I still went shopping today w/ mom. We got coffee flavors and at St. Vinnie's, I bought some glow in the dark stars and then when she went grocery shopping, I went next door to Hastings, promising myself to not buy any books. I saw a pretty neat Beatles one and didn't work up the nerve to ask someone to help me find In His Own Write but I looked at music, there was some George Harrison stuff and Paul and John, all the Paul ones were used and cheap, ha, but there was only ONE Ringo Starr album and it was marked down to 2.50. Time Takes Time. Of course I bought it. I was this close to buying a Paul McCartney one, too, but, eh.
I came home and Blake was all, whadja buy and I'm like, don't..don't laugh at me, Blake, i'm ashamed of my purchase. He was also amused by the 2.50 thing. God, we spend hours joking about Ringo Starr. Uh, we had a good one. I was telling him about a book Ringo had, (also about how I cannot find any biography on Ringo Starr- I can find them on John&George quite easily, they're dead, and there's even a few on Paul for godsake but no Ringo ones, hmm) where he had put postcards that the other Beatles sent him into book form, and he wrote captions to them and stuff. I told Blake of this book, and he was like, 'wait, did they go places and LEAVE him there? or did he just like, forget to come? is one of the postcards 'dear ringo-you missed the plane. having fun w/out you. from george' or whatever? what the hell.' One of our running jokes is that Ringo Starr was just stoned all the time. 'what's a beatle?' 'i play drums?' ' Cos of okay, I read this thing where it listed all the celebrities/famous folk on the Sgt. Pepper cover, and I was just skimming it, mostly John and Paul had picked them, and gave reasons, and George chose some and there were some quotes, and Ringo had said: "I don't remember it, really, I must've been there. I was in the picture.." something along the lines of that. We're like, wth, Ringo was so stoned he doesn't remember it, that's hilarious. Uhh...lost of train of thought now...Ringo. Oh, right. We want to make shirts that say 'poor ringo' or something like that. Haha. Continually, we quote that scene from the Dewey Cox: Walk Hard movie, which has a ridiculous title but is a pretty hilarious movie. 'I've got a song about an octupus' "ringo" says, and "John" says, 'Jam it up your ass, you're lucky we still let you play drums' and there's a lot of good jokes in it, like when John (played by Paul Rudd) says to Paul (Jack Black, lol) "i wonder if your songs will still be shit when I'm sixty-four..."
anyway, we do spent a lot of time playing Beatles Rock Band. The best thing about it is, well I'm not video-gamey but Blake is, and it's cool cos it doesn't bother me when he plays it cos it's awesome music.
So I knitted my mom a hat for her birthday and now I like knitting hats, i'm agonna knit everyone for christmas, yayy
mhmm right now I'm singing 'Chains' by yeah, the beatles, is it George that sings Chains I think?
