zappa and formspring

So I'm listening to Frank Zappa who is kind of like pure awesomness.

And also, abusing Formspring. Oh god. People I barely know on FB post theirs so I just..like barrage them with weird questions. And apparently fs has a question and time limit. Like I can't submit more then 20 questions in like 5 minutes or something. Alas! The funny part is one of the questions I asked was 'Aren't you glad Formspring is anonymous? I'm pretty excited about it' and this dude replied, 'Sometimes (other girl I AM NOT), sometimes.' So hahah he thinks one of his friends is asking him all this weird stuff but IN FACT IT'S SOME CRAZY GIRL. MWAHAHAH.

Yeah, I am way too easily amused.
I've done this on a few other peoples' too, that one girl who the guy thought it was, but she took everything so seriously, and one of my brother's old friends who had really short answers but he was fun, too. Yeah nobody should give me access to Formspring when I am bored.

Going to bed after this album is done. Freak Out! by the Mothers of Invention- aka Frank Zappa and the Mothers. :D I love it. I love his, like, drawl. It's superawesome. I love the weirdness.

Of course the one thing I ALWAYS ask on Formspring is- Beatles or Stones? and if Beatles, favorite Beatle? if stones, you can go to hell- and so people will say - 'George because no one likes him'- WHICH ADAMANTLY PROTEST, BEING A GEORGE-LOVER- or 'Ringo. octopus' garden ftw' hahaha YES.

Dammit I love Zappa. Specfuckingtacular stuff, maan.
I may or may not have been drinking wine most of the night. and playing Sims 3.

woah

Like I haven't updated in foreverrr
'cos like I've been on deviantart and so like kind of neglecting this blog over here
and my computer crashed a few weeks ago, that was pretty annoying.
BUT LIKE YEAH.
OH GOSH. Ringo Starr. is going on tour. And is coming to a place called Woodinville, Washington. WHICH IS LIKE 6 HOURS AWAY FROM ME. I HAVE TO GO. I need to see a Beatle before they all die! And Paul's in Europe! And Ringo's turning like 70. THIS COULD BE HIS LAST TOUR EVER and that would be tragic. Anyway. So I am trying to convince my mom or dad to buy me tickets but I should get a job and earn my own money and all that, haha, but I did hint around that tickets would make GREAT graduation presents. Since the concert is in July. So I hope that works out.

Agh I'm bored. At dad's. Nothing to do except lay around or kill time on the computer and download bootlegs onto dad's computer because free music=<33 Maybe the Stones or some Tom Petty. Or Traveling Wilburys. Who I listened to last night. They're pretty goddamn awesome.

this evening

At dad's. Arby's for dinner. Blake's at a sleepover and so dad and Sandy and I were gonna go to a movie at like 9.20 but I was like, I am all for late movies but not late shitty late movies like 2012. Yes. They were gonna go see 2012. Ugh.
So then I was pretty set on knitting gloves with some Noro yarn and couldn't quite find a pattern I liked..and so I'm gonna knit a iphone sock/cozy Frazier who saw mine and was like, make me one? So I am with some pretty Noro.

I've listened to..Revolver, Help! a few of the Past Masters tracks, and now I'm listening to Hard Day's Night. All the Mono Remasters which someone has ever so kindly posted on Youtube. Thank you, internet. Fuck, I love the mono versions. They're spectacular. Grrr.

So I don't know how big an iphone is. But it seems to be about the same size as my ipod, just a little...er, wider...ish, but slimmer? And grr. Well. Ah. Let's see. This one for my ipod is 32 on size 4s I think- and my ipod is chunky. So maybe..that would work. It's a 2x2 rib. Maybe if I did the body part in stockinette and the top bit in rib, in a 1x1 rib or a 1x3? Then I could do like...34 or 25 stitches. That might work. ..this is me being grumpy. See it's pretty slim.

Do you know what's a really good song? I've Just Seen A Face. The Across the Universe version a little better then the original...I feel as if I'm a traitor just saying that but I like it a lot better. Is good either way though. I want to learn it on the uke...oh, hey. Tabs. and the Ukulele Mike guy on youtube (awesome uke vids) has a tuturial. Internet. I love you.

yarr

It be Talk Like a Pirate Day. Arr...
and that's all I got.
And I'm going to a little county fair about 30 miles off with my dad's girlfriend. Eep. But I dunno when she is picking me up. She said "in like an hour" and I dun remember when that was. Aw man.

So I'm bored and all. And I mean. There's only so many times I can watch Beatles stuff without getting terribly obsessed and bothered and whatnot. Aand I dunno how to hook up the XBox here. Blake usually does the XBoxy things. So I can't play Rock Band. I should be knitting. Mhmm.

And I wish I had my combat boots with me. So I could wear them. But instead I only have my double-upper second-hand Converse (I don't really like buying brand new Cons cos of the whole 'outsourcing' thing but I got these at a thrift shop, so none of my money goes to Converse-outsourcing-bastards) and my beatle boots. I don't wanna wear my beatle boots to the fair, and also I almost just typed bootles instead of beatle boots. Hmm. Here's a weird thing: Firefox spellcheck doesn't like beatle or beatles but Beatle or Beatles is fine. In fact. It suggests- 'Beatlemania' instead of 'beatle.' Oh Firefox. Anyway. Cons it is then. And anyway. These blisters on my heels, from thin socks + combat boots, are still healing. Ha. Heels. Healing. Man. Combat boots do wonders for confidence, though. I feel badass in those things. And in beatle boots? I look RIDICULOUS. Honestly. They're pointy. BUT GLORIOUS.

The weather here is mad. Hot all week and now suddenly- clouds and it's windy as hell. Would hell be windy I wonder? Not sure.

aw damn

At dad's. It sucks. Well because of the usual being left alone bit, right, I'm tired of it but no way around it, really. Also he won't take me to get Harry Potter tickets. Damn. Fuck. I'm knitting my tie, ordered some socks (they better be here), have Quidditch goggles, have skirt, need shirt, and am gonna make a ribbon/hair/bow/headband thing with Gryf colors. Should be all right.
My heart's been acting up lately. Jesus. This should be the 'many injures of AJ' blog now. There's an accidental bruise on my leg that's just turned a lovely yellow/purple mix, and Vincent Van Gogh won't come off my arm. An er temp. tattoo of him anyway. He's mostly off now. It's not really an injury though. Just sort of annoying.

I've been playing a lot of Sims 3. Check my other blog...I think it's http://these-are-my-sims.blogspot.com/ for the Legacy I've started. I'm gonna post it after I'm done here. I loove it. Last week I was all, argh I has to go to my father's soon then I remembered the Sims 3 and got all excited.

I don't think my dad likes me because I am smart. I mean. I'm not like uber-smart, but I am clever, if I do say so myself (and I do) and also I tend to ramble off facts. Like the Coors light one. Or the Van Gogh Didn't Cut Off His Own Ear one. I think it annoys him his only daughter is a weird, smart, Harry Potter- (and other strange things-) obsessed, no-friended ('cept for Heather (hi Heather)), sort-of-tomboyish, t-shirt-wearing freak. Who knits and crochets. And wears bows and ribbons. I don't care.

Today Dad and Blake and Sandy went to the beach and I was all, ergh beach, so instead Dad gave me money to get lunch and so I wandered down to Jo-Ann's (bought duct tape for a duct-tape purse and red and gold ribbon) then called Heather, we met up at McDonald's, then headed to Starbucks. We decided we shouldn't watch Harry Potter 5 and knit our scarves so we did. I liked 5. But 2 and 6 are my favorite books. 2 because awesome, right? and actually, I used to freakin' love 3 before the movie ruined it for me. The movie was awful. And 4 and 5 were always very moody and angsty and in 6, he's not nearly as angry and hate-filled. Harry, I mean. 6 is interesting.

Ok right now I'm posting my Legacy, so read if you want, I don't give a damn.

alligator tears

I am all sad and upset because, so, tonight instead of going with my dad to his cousins’ house up in the hills so they can all get drunk and pass out in tents, I go babysitting with a friend. I told my dad this earlier. I do not quiet enjoy watching my dad, his girlfriend, and his cousins get sloppy drunk around a campfire (and not just because they won’t give me any alcohol- not like I drink, it’s just when there’s nothing to do but watch everyone else get drunk you get reallyy bored) Now, I was assuming that if they decided to go up to his cousin’s, he would have called me and said, hey we’re leaving. Or left a note at home. Or Blake would’ve called me. Or fucking anything, really. So I come home and all the lights are off and there’s no one here, no note no food nothing nothing. And he didn’t even call me. I mean come on. Would either of those things been very difficult? ‘AJ- went to cousins. See you in morning.’ Wtf dad. Or like one call- I’m babysitting, Dad, not taking the SAT- you can call me. ‘Hello daughter. We are leaving town. We shall see you tomorrow morning and there is a pizza in the fridge.’
So now I’m almost crying because this is the first time I’ve seen my dad in a month and he just goes and gets drunk with his cousins and doesn’t even leave any goddamned food at home.
And now I'm crying.
And Chappy is looking at me like, I understand. (Chappy is the dog)
jesus i haven't cried in weeks. my dad is a jerk. not even a fucking note
and also maybe hearing things because what is that noise?
sounds like a far off tv

monster energy will do exactly what it sounds like

Tonight I am at dad's and Dad bought us Monster Energy Drinks and I don't drink those alot but when I do stuff happens. Like tonight I was making cupcakes and Blake mentioned something about one of his football players on his video game, Madden 2017 or something, and said he was left handed and I am idly making cupcakes but then I think how far can I lead Blake on with this and I start ranting about how left handed people are agents of Satan and how you should not look them in the eye or they will steal your soul and etc, etc. Blake started to think I was high.
Also I was playing with eggs earlier. Cupcake-making I decided to make the egg white only recipe because, eh, I felt like, and so I already had added egg yolks so I got them out and they're squishy little balls and very weird to play with and roll about on your hands which is what I was doing until I squished them over the sink.
So here I am explaining to Blake all the evils of the Left Handed and mah cupcahkes ah bayking. Sometimes I talk like that. Let's go out to tha cah. What's for dinnah? I don't do my r's but I don't do that weird kind of r/kind of w thing that sounds like you're mangling a cat and I know a kid who does this, we went to speech class together, for our r's. I could never get irony right. So I leave the r's off the ends of words or middle of words if it's right, most of the time not really in the middle. And sometimes I have a strange accent, like New Zealand or British. People ask me if I'm British. Or from Boston. I has a speech impediment. Leave me alone. Bah. Also my s's suck so sometimes their sh's. Some people don't understand me when I talk.
Gonna go play tha Sims now.

04 April 2009

bah, i hate it when this happens

We went to dinner at the 4-10, then to Albertsons (once again I have done something that makes the apostrophe trigger some sort of search thing) for movies and snacks and etc. So we are walking down the aisles and I punch Blake in the arm and then hide behind Dad, figuring that as long as Dad is there, he will not hit me. Yeah, I am that childish. Then dad goes, "gonna go get some milk." and walks off. Blake looks at me and rolls his sleeves up, and I run for it. Down the aisle and to the left but as I am turning left, I notice somebody in the cheese section. One of my teachers, Mr. Glenn, is standing there, talking to somebody. He sees me, smiles and waves, and I smile and laugh before I keep on running. I could not have stopped if I wanted to, I was going a pretty good pace. I continue to run through the aisles, keep on almost running into people, with Blake chasing me until I think he ran into somebody. I hate it when I see teachers out of the school. Awkard.
Also whenever I do see teachers outisde of school, I am doing something strange. Like seeing the Torgersons at Albertsons, when I was in cheeseburger pajama pants and slippers. Or Mr. Curtis at Albertsons, looking at soup. I dont even like Mr. Curtis. Anyway, nowI have taken to avoiding teachers in stores.

01 April 2009

spokane spokane

Back from collegy trip. Went to Whitworth Uni, which was too pretty and churchy and had too many trees and would cost too much and didn't have a Zoology program, and Spokane Falls Community College, which was clearly a Community college and my mom went there and they had Zoology and a bowling alley and then we went to Gozaga, which was cool. Cool. Just cool. I dunno if they had zoology but they had a Bing Crosby room. BING! Loves me some Bing Crosby. Even if he beat his kids. Whatever. Or, well, that's the rumor. But it's widely disputed. And talked to an ambassador from University of Phoenix which was boring and also it's all online and no Zoology. And today I was at Eastern Washington Uni, which was boring and had too many stairs and I was just so tirrred. On Tuesday...or Monday...we went to Riverfront park to see an imax moviebut half an hour late so most of group went on Skyride Gondola ride and some of us, ME!, went on Carousel, that's 100 years old, v. cool, v. fun. Went shopping, quick, at Boo Radley's (best store name ever and cool store, too) and got Pride&Prejudice&Zombies and Obamamints-Yes We Candy. Hotel was fun. Shared room with Heather. Watched TV and argued over beds-made or unmade? I was for unmade beds. Shopping at Valley Mall, was disapointed because was promised Northtown-Northtown has Barnes&Nobles and Comic Book Shop. Valley, I though, had B&N and no Comic Book Shop but turns out, Waldenbooks and Comic Book Shop. Was happy. Spent money. Got a nice yoyo at a hobby store. Huckleberry coffee. Green and orange M&Ms for Blake since couldn't find any Dolphins merchandise. Got four graphic novels- Fables v. 2, Y: The last Man v.2, Serenity 1 and 2. Should have got someting Gaiman.
Dad's getting up, maybe dinner time here's hoping.

08 March 2009

eventful weekend

Not really but, uh still. Went to dad's. Dad moved from his house to our old house and repainted all of it and my room is now his room and mom's room is now my room. It's the coldest room in the house. The window is jammed open an inch or two so it's chilly. Five blankets did the trick.
Dad actually spent time with us. Yeahhh, yay. Oh! Saw the Watchmen. Kickass.
Dad's computer doesn't have internet hooked up yet. Spent the weekend playing Sims.
There's nothing to do.

20 February 2009

frick

At Dad's again. Suuucks. I have a feeling this weekend is going to be exactly like the one before this and the one before that. And before that. He buys us food and leaves. His house smells like goddamn cigarette smoke. Fuck you, dad, and your smoking. It's gonna kill you. Last weekend when he dropped us off at home, I wasn't speaking to him, just crying, and when he brought it up about he was all sorry because he was working on the house I just lashed out at him. Yeah, he had a valid reason for leaving us but here's the thing: it wouldn't have mattered if he had a reason or not. He's done that before. At about 6 on Friday- "Here's dinner, going to the bar for a few hours, bye." Then it's 3 AM in the morning and he isn't back yet and the next day, he works, then at 5 it's the same thing and Sunday is for football/NASCAR/hanging out with his cousins and he gets home and goes, "got your stuff packed?" DICK. JACKASS. Yeah, we're 16/17 years old but fuck, dad, spend at least a fucking hour with us, okay? And now it's the same thing except he's working on the house. Last weekend when he dropped us off and I was pissed and sobbing, he said "next weekend we'll do something fun, we'll go to (nearby town that has big mall, cool places, fun stuff)" I don't know why I believed him, because we're totally not. He's going to ditch us and I'll end the weekend in tears. Yaay.
I brought with me- Inkdeath, Watchmen, a bunch of yarn, Transformers: Animated and The Sims 2: Apartment Life.
Tonight I have to go the school's Winter One Acts. Literally HAVE to, since if I don't I will FAIL theatre class. I've got a friend who's going and I say to her, "come with me on the same night, I don't want to suffer alone and I need somebody to mock it with." Also I happened to overhear this boy I like/kinda like is going tonight, too. Mhmm.

09 January 2009

all alone

So here I am, at my dad's house (as opposed to being at Mom's) as I am every other weekend. Blake went to the Golden Throne game. I went last year. Once is enough for me. I usually do go the Homecoming football game or whatnot, just 'cuz I'm like 4 blocks away and... I dunno, there's something about sitting in those bleachers watching a stupid game and eating over priced snacks with your only friend, knowing that hundreds of students have sat here and watched the same stupid game and ate the same over priced snacks and hung out with the only person who will tolerate them. If the Lewiston vs. Clarkston football game is at home, I'll watch it. It's like, a 103 year old tradition. But Golden Throne seems stupid to me. Basketball, too. Football I don't mind, if it's live. I despise it on TV. Looks fake. Also the idea of the gold toilet is retarded.
Uh, yeah. Waiting for the new shirt.woot, which...yeah, I'm obsessed. I used to spell 'obsessed' like 'upsessed' in like 7th grade. In 7th grade I died my hair different colors so people would notice me, too. Now I don't care...anyway, last night I was going to buy the new shirt.woot which was this turtle one, Ninja Turtle referance, at like midnight but I decided not to, because if the first one I bought, On the Prowl, with a tiger, if I got that in the mail and it didn't fit me well I would get the turtle one in a bigger size, yeah, but it sold out by the next morning. I was all bitched about that for a while, then I figured out I could buy it again for 15, but whatever. Mom says she'll buy it for me if I help her pack for the new place.
I downloaded some Iggy Pop music, because of the Iggy/Bowie connection and I started listening to Lust For Life, which...sounds like a good song but it's the song they use on one of those cruise ship commercials? and that ruins it. Forever. Garh. However, I am quite liking Iggy Pop and I like Bowie more and more. Heard Ch-Changes on the radio the other day...102.9 Classic Rock, best radio station EVAH. Rock 'n Roll Suicide is good, and Please Mr. Gravedigger creeps me out. Life on Mars? is really good and so's, oh, the Major Tom song....SPACE ODDITY! Right, right...Kody comes up to me one day, back before summer started, hands me his iPod and says, "this is the best song ever listen to it" and I did and it was. Thanks, Kody, for introducing me to Bowie. Cousin Chelsie, however, was the one who introduced me and Blakers to Flight of the Conchords...to that we owe her.
I'm addicted to Quantum Leap and should probably just start a blog on Leap and only Leap. Last night, I watched the one Sam leaped into a retarded young man named Jimmy. I liiiked this. Al in this was great. D'yknow what pisses me OFF about Quantum Leap? Sam. I love him, but sometimes he's a fucking dumbass. SAM YOU HAVE A FRIEND WHO NOBODY ELSE CAN SEE STOP TALKING TO HIM IN PLAIN SIGHT. Honestly. Al will show up (what's with his clothes also but forget about it i love al) and Sam will start talking to him! With people around! ARGHHHH. How does he not get, like, locked up for being psycho? Oh, show... This was a good epi because it gave Al some backstory. Little sister who was retarded, too, but their mom left them and so did their dad and they sent his sister, Trudy, to an "institution" and little Al to an orphanage. Anyway, when he got out he went to look for her but, this part got me almost crying, when Al goes, "She was gone Sam-pneumonia they said. How does a 16-year-old girl die from pneumonia in 1953?" But he liked, screamed it, and I was all. Aww, sad Al.
I'm trying to stagger Quantum Leap DVDs so I don't watch all of them in like one week...which I kind of did already. But Season Three's 40 bucks and maybe Daddy will find a deal on ebay for me but until then, I'm outa luck. And Season Three looks good, Sam leaps into...himself! when he's young! Whootwhoot. I like how, throughout Season Two that have to reiterate stuff in Season One. A lot of these epis are Sam having to get some girl to fall in love with him or save a marriage or a woman's future. Laame. Like in The Pretender Season One, where Jarod is just saving a lot of families where the dad has been killed for, like, finding out some evil guy's secret. Man. Quantum Leap and The Pretender are kind of alike...huh...and...MacGyver...I think I have a complex or something...MASH only sort of fits here, though. And Stargate, neither. Those are the shows I own on DVD. I bought The Pretender on never having seen an episode. And MASH on seeing a few and loving it. And Stargate for...well, MacGyver. It's got Richard Dean Anderson.
Gonna go watch some more Leap. Feel less alone.
